Berberine is an alkaloid of natural origin that once arrived in the blood increases the expression of insulin receptors and reduces insulin resistance of the cells. It is the natural alternative of the Metformin synthesis medicine. Recent studies have shown that Berberine, besides the fact that it is natural and has no side effects, is more effective than Metformin. Studies indicate that Berberine has a therapeutic effect on Metabolic Syndrome, on the one hand by activating the protein kinase (AMPK) enzyme that controls the metabolism of fats and carbohydrates, and on the other by increasing the response to insulin secreted by the pancreas.
Like Metformin, Berberine is poorly absorbed at the level of intestines and therefore high doses must be administered to obtain therapeutic results.
Bio-Berberine is an orthomolecular combination of ingredients that provides a significantly higher absorption and utilization rate than simple Berberine, therefore requiring significantly lower doses.

If you have high levels of blood sugar and / or hemoglobin A1c, Berberine alone or in association with Metabolix can help you improve your values until they return to normal. However, you should be advised that there is also the possibility of too low a blood sugar, in which case you should reduce your daily dose.
The normal dose is 2 Berberina capsules associated with 2 Metabolix capsules. In severe cases, for high values of blood sugar and A1c, a double dose may be administered for a short period of time with daily blood sugar monitoring, and then you can return to the normal dose. In the case of pre-diabetes, the daily dose can be reduced by half.
