DESCRIPTION

Most products labeled “Vitamin E” contain only alpha-tocopherol, often in the synthetic form.

The notion of vitamin E does however encompass more than just alfa-tocopherol. There are 8 compounds that form the family of vitamin E. The body needs all 8 forms. In addition, recent studies have highlighted the synergistic antioxidant action of the association with Beta Carotene.

Konig Vitamin E8 contains all 8 members of the vitamin E family, namely, 4 tocopherols and 4 tocotrienols extracted from plants in their natural form, non-esterified. The 8 members have some similar functions but also have completely different but complementary functions actions. They also act in different organs of the human body. D’alpha-tocopherol is the main antioxidant. But, for example gamma-toccopherol alone has the ability to detoxify nitrogen radicals that are associated with neurological diseases, inflammation and prostate or breast cancer.

Tocotrienols protect against plaque in arteries by preventing the oxidation of LDL. Oxidation of LDL cholesterol is considered the most important factor causing atherosclerosis. Numerous laboratory tests have shown the protective effect of tocotrienols against breast cancer and skin cancer. Scientists have found that tocotrienols slow down a liver enzyme that plays an important role in cholesterol synthesis, a therapeutic action that tocopherols do not exhibit.

A human clinical trial conducted in 2010 indicated that a mixture of tocopherols and tocotrienols not only slowed the narowing of the carotid artery but this condition was completely healed in 40% of cases.

Konig Vitamin E8 combined synergistically with Beta Carotene and associated with sterols in particular beta-sitosterol proved effective in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, hyper-cholesterol and in strengthening the immune system.
