Researchers found that the inner bark of Amazonian Pau D’Arco tree (Tabebuia impetiginosa or avellanedae) sometimes also called Lapacho contains naphthoquinones, which are very strong in fighting infections. It seems that naphthoquinones kill bacteria and viruses.
