When deposits are noticed on the top surface or when a slowing of the filtration speed is observed (ie. if the tank is full at night before bedtime and until morning does not empty up to the surface of the ceramic filter), empty the upper tank, unscrew the filter and rub it on both sides, under cold water jet, with an abrasive sponge.
