Why we recommend Bio Active Coenzyme Q10 from non-tobacco source produced by bacterial fermentation?
There are several Coenzyme Q10 formulas offered on the market: one is chemically extracted from tobacco (tobacco sourced), another is mainly extracted from soya (non-tobacco sourced), and yet another is from bacterial fermentation. The last one has been developed in Japan in the 1970’s.

CoQ10 is beneficial to the well-functioning of the heart, and this is why it is mostly recommended to patients suffering from: cardiac insufficiency, ischemic heart disease, pectoral angina, heart failure, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure. Also, patients taking synthetic statins for lowering the cholesterol are affected by a side effect of CoQ10 depletion affecting the functioning of the heart. Therefore, if taking synthetic statin medicine, do not forget to supplement with 200 mg per day of CoQ10. An alternative to synthetic cholesterol medicine is the natural statin Monacolin K found in our product Cholestatin.
CoQ10 is also a potent antioxidant, and when taken in doses of 60-200 mg, it strengthens the immune system by increasing the antibody output.
CoQ10 is also used to reduce the side effects of chemotherapy.
Latest research also indicates that CoQ10 can benefit people with diabetes or people with high cholesterol.
Studies carried out in the USA demonstrated that CoQ10 supplementation stimulates the activity of macrophages (an immune system component), with antiviral, antibacterial and anticancer properties.
In his studies (published in the “Clinical Investigator” magazine), Dr.K Folkers reveals that CoQ10 supplementation reverses ageing of the immune system, and taken in higher doses of 300-400 mg/day, hinders breast cancer spreading, and even proved to bring about total remission in many patients.
In doses of 60-200 mg/day, CoQ10 strengthens the activity of Natural Killer Cells in their function of hindering/preventing tumor metastasis. When suffering from an infection or cancer, CoQ10 doses of 200-400 mg/day have been recommended.
CoQ10 is better absorbed in the presence of an animal fat, in which case benefic results are really outstanding, especially for patients with heart conditions; taking CoQ10 in association with Omega-3 Wild Salmon Oil or Omega-3 Seal Oil is thus recommended.
CoQ10 bio-absorption rate can be substantially enhanced (60-70%) if taken together with a Piper nigrum extract. That’s why we have already incorporated it into our product.
Biopiperine (Piper nigrum extract) is an original product manufactured by Provita Nutrition & Health Inc. It contains a matrix of Biotin and Piperine – a combination proved to increase bio-absorption at the small intestine level. The added Vitamin E synergistically augments the CoQ10 effectiveness.
