Chromium is an essential mineral in the metabolism of carbohydrates. Unfortunately Chromium that we get from food or Multi Vitamins and Minerals is usually in small doses therefore diabetics or those predisposed to diabetes have chromium deficiency. Chromium plays an important role in the use of insulin by the body.

Numerous clinical studies indicate that chromium picolinate is the most effective form of chromium in protocols for diabetes. Insulin stimulates enzymes that help to regulate blood sugar levels. Several clinical trials have found that supplementation with Chromium helps regulate sugar and improve insulin factors.
