Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is also called “spark of life”  due to its importance in the production of energy in the human body. At the age of 50 years, the level of CoQ10 in the body is already reduced to less than half compared to the age of 20 years.

It has beneficial effects on cardiac function and is therefore recommended for those who suffer from heart failure, ischemic heart disease, angina, myocardial infarction, atherosclerosis and hypertension.

It is a powerful antioxidant and in doses of 60-150 Mg has an effect of strengthening the immune system by increasing the production of antibodies. It also reduces the side effects of chemotherapy. The most recent studies have shown beneficial effects on diabetics and people with high cholesterol.

The administration of statin-based cholesterol synthesis medicines leads to the reduction of the amount of Coenzyme Q10 in the heart muscle, leading to its weakening. The Canadian Ministry of Health recommends the administration of Coenzyme Q10 concomitantly with these medicines.

CoQ10 in doses of 60-150 mg / day strengthens the activity of “Natural Killer Cells” that inhibit metastasis of tumors. During infections and tumors the recommended dose of CoQ10 is 200 – 400 mg per day.

Coenzyme Q10 is better absorbed in the presence of animal fat, therefore, the efficiency of absorption and exceptional effects particularly in patients with heart disease, it is recommended the administration of CoQ10 with Wild Salmon Oil.
