Description

Myo Inositol is an isomer of Inositol, a specific form of B vitamin which the body needs for proper functioning.

Recent research in biochemistry and nutrition, revealed the importance of inositol in alimentation, as a useful element to the cells. Disturbances in the metabolism of inositol appear in patients with diabetes, renal failure, galactosemia and multiple sclerosis.

Myo Inositol has been identified as an important dietary factor, necessary for all cells, where there is a need for adjustment of the cellular response to external stimulation and to mediate the enzymatic activities. Many studies have shown the ability of inositol to increase the number of cells involved in DNA synthesis.

Some effects of the administration of Myo Inositol:

  1. It has proven highly effective in cases of lung cancer in heavy smokers, by inhibiting the activity of Akt and ERK  kinase that controls the survival and proliferation of cancer cells in the lungs and bronchi.
  2. Useful in cases of panic and obsessive behavior.
  3. Can be used in cases of impotence (especially for type II diabetics).
  4. Can be used in cases of Polycystic Ovary.
  5. Associated with Folic Acid and Melatonin increases fertility and increases the chances of having children in sterile women.
  6. Useful for integration in protocols for the treatment of multiple sclerosis.
