DESCRIPTION

Hypertension is a medical condition with high risk for heart attack or stroke. The causes of hypertension are multiple. In principle, chronic hypertension occurs when the artery walls are not sufficiently elastic and able to expand enough for a normal blood flow, leading to an increase in pressure. Keeping blood pressure in the normal range is essential for cardiovascular disease, especially atherosclerotic diseases: hardening of arteries (due calcium deposits), narrowing of arteries caused by atheroma (fatty deposits, fibrin, and mineral waste), loss of blood fluidity (due to high levels of homocysteine).

Some of the symptoms of high blood pressure include:

  • headache;
  • dizziness;
  • blurred vision;
  • nausea or vomiting;
  • angina pain, shortness of breath (especially during physical effort);
  • tiredness.

Untreated chronic hypertension can lead to:

  • myocardial infarction;
  • heart failure;
  • stroke or transient Ischemic Burden attack (TIA);
  • renal failure;
  • affecting the eye with gradual loss of vision;
  • peripheral arterial disease causing pain in the legs while walking (claudication);
  • pumping and dilatation of the aorta local (aneurysm).

Categories of blood pressure in adults (as measured in millimeters of mercury that is mmHg):

Category systolic
(upper value)
diastolic
(lower value)
Normal under 120 and sub 80
Pre-hypertension 120–139 or 80–89
Hypertension:
Stage 1 140–159 or 90–99
Stage 2 over 160 or over 100

Tensopril is the most advanced natural product to lower and maintain normal blood pressure. An orthomolecular formulation containing a combination of ultra-pure natural ingredients that work together synergistically to control blood pressure and heart rate, acting naturally on all channels of blood pressure control including:

  • beta blockers;
  • calcium channel blocker;
  • angiotensin inhibitor (ACE);
  • angiotensin receptor blocker;
  • blocker (relaxing) of central nervous system;
  • vasodilator.

Tensopril is recommended in cases of: hypertension, tachycardia, ischemia, angina, intermittent claudication, heart failure.

Tensopril is a natural product with no side effects. The establishment of the positive effects depends from case to case. Basically after 7-14 days the blood pressure will start to move down towards normal values.

Ways to reduce and control blood pressure

Beta blockers

Beta blockers reduce the heart rate and reduce the force of contraction of the heart by blocking adrenaline receptors (relaxing effect).

Calcium channel blockers (CCBs)
Calcium channel blocking agents relax arterial muscles. Also reduce the force of contraction of heart muscle.

Inhibitors of the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE inhibitors)

ACE inhibitors stop the production of a chemical called angiotensin II which leads to the constriction of blood vessels. Constriction leads to high blood pressure. The relaxation of the blood vessels leads to lower blood pressure.

Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs)

Blocks angiotensin receptors, preventing angiotensin vasoconstriction action.

Systemic sympathetic nerve blockers (autonomous)

These agents block the messages issued by the autonomic nervous system leading to vasoconstriction. The autonomic nervous system is a component of the unconscious nervous system that controls heart rate, respiratory rate and other basic functions of the body.

Direct vasodilators

Direct vasodilators relax and dilate blood vessels allowing blood to flow with less pressure.

Diuretics

Remove excess water, thus reducing blood volume. Blood volume reduction leads to reduced blood pressure.

Tensopril acts on all directions described above as follows

Hibsicus sabdariffa contains antocyanidins that act as natural inhibitors of angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE inhibitor). Hibiscus also contains compounds that act by blocking calcium channels. Hibiscus also has a diuretic effect.

Chlorogenic acid extracted from green coffee beans reduces blood pressure by improving endothelial function and increasing the bioavailability of nitric oxide (NO). Nitric oxide has a vasodilator effect, keeping arteries “open”. Vasodilation is essential for maintaining normal blood pressure.

Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata) contains vitexin, having the effect of reducing the essential hypertension. Hawthorn is also a recommended Cardio-tonic, useful in heart failure.

GABA (gamma amino butyric acid) has a calming effect on the central nervous system by blocking the signals that lead to contraction of blood vessels, resulting in muscle relaxation of arterial venous systems, thus greatly improving blood circulation and reduces blood pressure.

L-Theanine is an amino acid that acts synergistically with GABA by stimulating the production of dopamine and serotonin with relaxing effect. Associated with GABA, it relaxes heart muscle with a slight Beta-blocant effect.

Inositol hexaniacinate (hexanicotinate) is a form of vitamin B3 that improves arterial circulation through vasodilation, while also having a hypolipidic effect. It also improves peripheral circulation by making the blood more fluid by reducing blood fibrinogen.

Piper nigrum contains piperine having a calcium channel antagonist effect combined with a vasomodulating action. Together, these actions lead to lower blood pressure. Piperine also improves the absorption of the other ingredients at the digestive tract level.

Potassium nitrate is bio-converted to nitric oxide (NO) and released into the bloodstream. Nitric oxide is essential for maintaining vasodilation and blood flow.

COMPOSITION

Hibiscus sabdariffa SE(15% anthocyanidins) 25 mg
Chlorogenic acid 5% 40 mg
Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata 2% vitexin) 75 mg
GABA 25 mg
L-Theanine 25 mg
Inositol hexaniacinate 75 mg
Piper nigrum SE (95% Piperine) 2.5 mg
Potassium nitrate 50 mg

It does not contain: dairy products, eggs, artificial preservatives, colors, yeast, artificial sweeteners, wheat, gluten, corn.

ADMINISTRATION

Recommended way of use: 1-2 capsules daily preferably in the morning or as directed by a specialist.

Cautions

  • Tensopril effectively lowers blood pressure. Monitor your blood pressure regularly.
  • Consult your doctor if you take medication to lower blood pressure in order to adjust such medication accordingly.
  • If you take blood pressure medicines, read their instructions. Some medications may require a gradual reduction in dose rather than suddenly stop taking them. Generally, the elimination of such medication should be done by gradually reducing the daily dose under the supervision and advise of a medical proffesional.
  • Dietary supplements do not replace a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Recommendation

  • Excess consumption of salt can lead to fluid retention which leads to the increase of  blood pressure, so for hypertensive persons it is recommended moderate consumption of salt.
