Salix alba is a species of willow which differs from the common willow in that it does not hang down but grows more like a tree. The bark contains salicin. Salicin is the original aspirin prescribed by doctors until the introduction of Acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) (synthetic aspirin). Acetylsalicylic acid is an inaccurate chemical copy of salicin.

Dispirin can be taken just like ASA (aspirin) but without the side effects: the risk of internal bleeding, irritation of the stomach lining.

Like ASA, Dispirin reduces fever, pain, prevents migraine, helps prevent certain cancers, reduces risk of a heart attack, reduce inflammation caused by rheumatism or pain caused by arthritis.

Other benefit that can mentioned is the possibility to reduce the risk of cancer of the colon, rectum, esophagus or stomach.

The recommended way of use (only for adults): 1 capsule 1-3 times a day.

Recommendation

• Maintenance dose: 1 capsule per day.

Cautions

• As with ASA, caution is advised if administered simultaneously with blood thinners (Warfarin class).
• Do not take ASA (aspirin) simultaneously with Dispirin.
• Discontinue use if adverse reactions occur.
