Hippophae rhamnoides L. (subsp. sinensis)

It is a sub-species cross-over plant from Asia, known also as the Chinese White Sea Buckthorn. It is a plant similar to European Sea Buckthorn but it has a different content of essential phytonutrients. The “sinensis” variant has the highest therapeutic effect and it is cultivated in Asia at altitudes of 2500-4300 m. This plant variant contains beta-sitosterol-beta-D-glucosides, a beta-sitosterol aglycone.
