Cholesterol can be both bad LDL and good HDL, so it’s important to manage your blood cholesterol levels. Keeping cholesterol levels is important because it reduces the risk of myocardial infarction and also the risk of stroke.

Monacolin K it is a natural substance that has been taken as a model by  pharmaceutical companies trying to reproduce and patent, resulting in so-called statins.

Statins (with different commercial names) is the basic substance of medicines for cholesterol.
