Very important

For an amino acid to be bio compatible (with the possibility of being metabolized by the body) must be produced in free form and in that case it will have a letter “L” before its name. The bound form (not free) is basically useless because the body does not absorb it.

The reduced glutathione, a substance present in all cells, is essential for the cell’s ability to defend itself and repair itself.

A low level of Glutathione reduces the energy of the cells, creates inflammation to them, increases their vulnerability, accelerates the aging process and lowers their resistance to heart disease , cancer, arthritis and others.

After the age of 20 years, the level of glutathione in the body starts to decrease by 10 – 15% every 10 years. Factors that may lead to a decrease in the level of glutathione are: stress, physical effort, infections, injuries, environmental toxins and / or food, etc.

What is Glutathione?

Glutathione is a non-protein amino acid that is found in highest quantities in the liver. It is essential to the body and especially to the hepatic function. Its production is determined by the level of cysteine and can be aided by the administration of NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) available on our site. The combination of NAC and glutathione is also recommended in cases of Liver Diseases and poisoning by Mycotoxins.

Glutathione also participates in the synthesis of leukotrienes and is also a co -factor in the production of the enzyme “Glutathione peroxidase”. It is extremely important in the process of the ligament of the hydrophilic molecule of lipophilic toxins and other products of excretion of the liver during biotransformation before becoming a component part of the bile. It is also necessary for the methylglyoxal detoxification, a toxin produced by the metabolic process.

Glutathione is considered the main non-enzyme antioxidant. It is the main vector of free SH groups (sulfhydryl). Due to the high reactivity of the SH group, which has the ability to yield a pair of electrons in this way producing electrovalent or covalent combinations, reversible and irreversible, Glutathione is involved positively in many reactions and processes, many of which are still unknown. The structure of SH groups with glutathione or cysteine, are the first “target” of free Radicals.

Latest research has shown the efficiency of raising the level of serum glutathione, especially after physical work-out.

Recommended way of use: 1 capsule per day.

Recommendation

• For therapeutic purposes: 2 capsules per day can be administered.
• Associate synergistically with NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine).
